Moin apologised  for visiting a casino in Brisbane during his stay with the cricket team for the World Cup.
As per the report probing the presence of Moin at the casino, the chief selector regrets his actions. The report was presented by Pakistan Cricket Board’s team manager Naveed Akram Cheema to PCB chairman Shahryar Khan.
Cheema told the PCB chairman that Moin admitted he went to the casino but only to have dinner.
“Moin Khan is not staying with the team and it is difficult for us to monitor his moves so for now we have to believe what he says,” Cheema was quoted as telling Shahryar Khan.
PCB Chairperson Shaharyar Khan had confirmed that the board had initiated an inquiry against Khan’s presence in the casino and also sought an explanation on the matter.

Indians having Pakistan Phobia

Indians having Pakistan Phobia

NEW DEHLI / ISLAMABAD: The credibility of the Indian government took a beating after it tied itself up in knots on the issue of an allegedly intruding Pakistani boat which had ‘blown itself’ after Indian authorities spotted it in Indian waters off the coast of Gujarat.

According to India’s official version, it received intelligence input on December 31, 2014 that a fishing boat from Keti Bunder, near Karachi, was planning some illicit transaction in the Arabian Sea and later its Coast Guard intercepted the vessel after an hour-long ‘hot pursuit’.

At that time, the government said, before the Coast Guard could act, the boat blew itself up. There were some suggestions that the boat and its crew  were planning a Mumbai-type attack on India and it was quick action by the Indian Coast Guard that prevented such an incident.

However, on Sunday, Coast Guard DIG B K Loshali, Chief of Staff (northwest region), was filmed at a public function bragging that it was the Coast Guard that had blown up the boat on his orders.

“Let me tell you. I hope you remember December 31 night… We blew off that Pakistan… We have blown them off. I was there at Gandhinagar and I told at night, blow the boat off. We don’t want to serve them biryani,” Loshali was reported by the Indian Express newspaper as saying.

But because the Ministry of Defence had put out a statement that the boat was loaded with explosives, Loshali’s statement contradicts the government directly and a day after he was filmed making the statement, he denied it.

“I was not privy to whatever was happening. I have been misquoted. I had mentioned that no anti-national element will be allowed to breach our coastal security and we are not going to serve them biryani.”

“The operation was classified in nature and its details were not shared (with me),” he told reporters, adding it was his boss IG Kuldip Singh Sheoran, who was in charge of the operation.

Indian Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar, who addressed a press conference on the sidelines of the Aero Show in Bengaluru, faced a number of questions in the wake of Loshali’s statement.

He said the defence ministry stands by the statement that the boat blew itself up. But this has now become a major political issue with the Congress party demanding to know which version was correct. Parrikar has hinted at an inquiry against the DIG.

Islamabad’s reaction

Islamabad reacted sharply to Loshali’s revelation, saying that it “tore off India’s veil of being a peaceful country of the region”.

“Pakistan’s desire for peace and coexistence in the region must not be seen as our weakness. The international community must also take notice of the incident which is tearing off India’s veil of being a peaceful country of the region,” said a statement issued by Defence Minister Khawaja Asif on Wednesday.

He said the confession reveals the false claims of Indian defence minister regarding the said incident on the night of December 31, 2014. “The revelation … proves that India’s defence ministry and defence minister were putting up a false story,” the statement added.

“Loshali has contradicted his government’s statement by saying that Pakistani boat was attacked by the Indian Coast Guard.”

The minister argued that India has violated international rules and disregarded the humanitarian considerations, adding that apart from killing four innocent people on board, India has been involved in killing of several Pakistanis, including the Samjhauta Express passengers.

Indian Comercial about Pak India match and its reply from Pakistanis

Pakistan’s response to India vs Pakistan promotional ad of ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 is disgusting! Watch Video. says india.com

Ahead of the high-octane India vs Pakistan clash in ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 on February 15, things have already started heating up off the pitch. The promotional advertisement for the match between India and Pakistan on Star Sports that poked fun at Pakistan’s poor record against India in the previous World Cup editions seems to have offended our neighbours. Hence in reply to the hilarious ad, Pakistani channel Samaa News telecast its own commercial, deemed as a ‘comprehensive reply to Indian advertisement against Pakistan’. Bangladeshi Captain lead from the front

In the debut match of Afghanistan in any worldcup Bangladesh beat Afghanistan.Bangladesh beat Afghanistan by 105 runs, Shakib ul Hassan, Mushfiqur Rahim and Mashrafe Mortaza was the stars of the day for Bangladesh.

Bangladesh stuttered to 267 all out and only reached that score through a 15-over blaze from Shakib Al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim. Then it was turn of Mashrafe to sink Afghanistan to 3-3 in the third over. Recovery took Afghanistan a long time, long enough to push the asking rate well out of reach. Afghanistan were eventually bowled out for 162 but would have taken plenty of positives from their first outing.
Those, though, would be restricted to their bowling effort. Their 268-run chase didn't go to plan. Mashrafe removed Javed Ahmadi at the end of the first over, the batsman's attempt to work the ball into the legside causing him to pop a simple return catch off the leading edge. The other opener, Afsar Zazai, fell next ball, trapped leg-before. It became 3 for 3 when Asghar Stanikzai edged Mashrafe to first slip where Mahmudullah grabbed it after a bit of a fumble.
Samiullah Shenwari, who had been removed from the bowling attack after seven balls for transgressing into the danger area twice, led the recovery with the bat. He struck the team's first boundary, a crash through the covers off Mortaza. Nawroz Mangal helped him pull the team out of trouble, adding 62 for the fourth wicket. The required rate, though, was on the rise and the pressure led to the wicket of Mangal, who holed out at deep square-leg. Rubel took the catch but hurt his leg in the tumble. Shenwari was then run out in the 26th over when Sabbir's pick-up and throw from the leg-side boundary found him some way short of the crease.
Mohammad Nabi and Najibullah Zadran added 58 runs for the sixth wicket before Najubullah fell leg-before to Shakib in the 37th over. Mashrafe then picked up his third wicket, dismissing Nabi for 44 off 43. From seven down, the Afghanistan tail struck a few blows before the innings came to an end in the 43rd over.
It was apt that the first Afghanistan player known to the wider world, Hamid Hassan, bowled his country's first delivery in the World Cup. Hassan, decked with warrior-like face-paint, and Shapoor Zadran kept the Bangladesh openers quiet for 14 overs, before Mirwais Ashraf picked up both Tamim Iqbal and Anamul Haque in the space of two overs. The opening pair batted circumspectly and did well to avoid giving away early wickets.
Tamim, though, grew restless, and went hard at Ashraf, surviving a caught-behind appeal when he appeared to edge the ball and a close run-out after a mix-up with Anamul. The latter took his own time until Ashraf trapped him leg-before with a superb inducker.
Ashraf bowled a superb first spell, and Bangladesh were under his spell until Soumya Sarkar hammered 15 off his ninth over to spoil his figures. He had given away only 17 from his first eight overs. Soumya and Mahmudullah added 50 patient runs for the third wicket before the pair fell in Shapoor's second spell.
The fourth wicket, at the start of the 30th over, brought together Mushfiqur and Shakib at a crucial stage, when more wickets could have left them vulnerable to the sort of collapse that haunted them in 2014. The team's most successful batting partnership took control almost instantly, picking up singles and doubles regularly before plundering 48 runs in the batting Powerplay. The pair moved to their respective fifties and had begun launching into the Afghanistan attack when Shakib fell in the 45th over, having made 63 off 51 balls, with six fours and a pulled six over deep square-leg. The fifth-wicket pair had added 114 runs in 15.3 overs.
Bangladesh immediately lost their way, as Sabbir Rahman struggled through his 2.1-over stay, keeping Mushfiqur at the non-striker's end. Mushfiqur struck a four as soon as he got back on strike, but fell soon after for a 56-ball 71, slogging one down deep midwicket's throat in the 48th over. Mashrafe struck three fours towards the end, but even then Bangladesh had only made 73 in their last ten overs while losing their last six wickets.
Having bowled with discipline for the first 29.1 overs of the Bangladesh innings, Afghanistan gave away too many four balls during the Shakib-Mushfiqur partnership. They seemed to tire in the field as well, conceding overthrows and letting balls go through their legs. Afghanistan also failed to use a referral in the 41st over, when Aftab Alam had an lbw appeal turned down. Replays suggested the ball was going on to hit the stumps, and had hit Mushfiqur's front pad before his bat.

Best Bowlers and Batsmen till now in Worldcup 2015

Best Bowlers and Batsmen till now in ICC worldcup 2015

Will Bangladesh Boost

Will Bangladesh boost

Mashrafe Mortaza was optimistic of receiving backing from the stands during the match, but Bangladesh's form in the warm-ups has not generated the same confidence. The loss to Pakistan, albeit close, was not unexpected but the defeat to Ireland would have hurt. Bangladesh have trained hard post those losses, and Mortaza appreciated the efforts put in by his players.

The onus has to be on Bangladesh here, given they are the Full Member side with nearly 15 years of Test history. However, Afghanistan beat Bangladesh the only time they met them in the ODI format in the Asia Cup last March, and have taken down Zimbabwe twice in four meetings. The fact that all those three wins came at the home of the opposition is revealing too, and Afghanistan believe Australian conditions suit them better.
Ireland chasing 300-plus against West Indies in Nelson has already set an early standard for Associates in this World Cup, and not only Afghanistan, but Bangladesh are also taking that result as an inspiration. They know how hard it is going to be for them to beat two of Sri Lanka, New Zealand, Australia and England, which is why they cannot afford another slip-up against Afghanistan.

\
The Afghanistan fast bowlers are tall and quick. The usually short Bangladesh batsmen will have to handle the extra bounce, something they are not used to at home and something they have been working on in the nets. The likes of Tamim Iqbal and Mushfiqur Rahim have the strokes, but it will be a matter of getting in first.
Tamim Iqbal made 81 against Pakistan in the warm-up game but he has been feeling his way back from knee surgery. He has not been extending himself during training. He does not have any major worries, and even if there is a niggle or two, Mortaza said his experienced opener was mentally strong enough to do his job well.

Bangladesh will lose

Afghanistan Captain Nabi say's Bangladesh will e under pressure against us and we have more chances to beat Bangladesh.

"What does it mean that you have never beaten Afghanistan?" It was the first question Mashrafe Mortaza was asked in his pre-match press conference. Mashrafe clarified that the "never" included all of one ODI, in the Asia Cup last March. He also said that Bangladesh had had their "revenge" just two weeks later by demolishing Afghanistan at the World T20.
It is a strange situation for Bangladesh ahead of their World Cup opener against Afghanistan. They are the Full Members. They have been playing Test cricket since 2000 and ODI cricket since 1986. They are expected to win over a side that, as Afghanistan coach Andy Moles pointed out, was not even in the ICC when Bangladesh played in their first World Cup in 1999. But the only time Bangladesh have gone up against Afghanistan in the ODI format, they have lost. At home.
Afghanistan captain Mohammad Nabi's responses illustrated the duality of situation Bangladesh are in. He was asked if he really thought Afghanistan were a better team than Bangladesh, or if he had just been playing mind games when he had said before that his team could beat them again. "Pressure is not on Afghanistan. Pressure is totally on Bangladesh," Nabi replied almost immediately.
Tamim Iqbal and Shakib Al Hasan were missing from the Bangladesh side that lost to Afghanistan in the Asia Cup in Fatullah, it was pointed out. They are around this time. "Yeah, Tamim and Shakib are the most senior players for Bangladesh team," Nabi said. "[But] if you look at the conditions in Bangladesh, it is totally different."
Afghanistan have several strapping fast bowlers, and believe that the bouncier conditions in Australia will suit them more. Nabi also said that a few Afghanistan players' exposure to the Bangladesh Premier League had given them knowledge about their opponents. Ironically, it was a BPL condition that a franchise had to have a player each from an Associate nation.
The Afghans themselves are "excited" to be at their first World Cup, Moles said, but not nervous. They defeated UAE in a warm-up match and batted out the entire 50 overs against India, something Bangladesh could not do in both their practice matches. They are a side that will test all their opponents if they can get their act together, Moles said.
What they needed to watch out for was too much aggression, the coach felt. "What happens is the Afghans, when we don't play our best cricket, we get a bit excited," Moles said. "We want to hit fours and sixes."
That is the challenge usually for the lesser teams, to properly construct an innings over 50 overs in a one-dayer. Nabi has said before that Afghanistan need to sustain their intensity over the duration of a match. It is something that used to be said of Bangladesh in the past as well.
Afghanistan are the flavour of the cricket world at the moment for their remarkable rise amid war, and how much their performances mean for people faced with hardships back home. Amidst all that, it is worthwhile to remember that the passion for the game in Bangladesh is widespread and overwhelming to witness, and probably second to none. Despite their usually disappointing performances, they have a big media contingent following the team on tours.
Several Bangladeshi fans are also expected to travel from Sydney to watch their side play Afghanistan in Canberra. Mashrafe was conscious of the tremendous following Bangladesh enjoy, both at home and away. There may be dual pressure on his side, but he will not want them to drive back disappointed.

Indian Media try to dictate Pak Media

Every other day, when a television anchor in India is bored and wants to stir things up, he or she decides to do a programme on India and Pakistan and brings in a select panel that generally consists of a retired general, a strident and “nationalist” security expert (if it is a Muslim, all the better), a political leader, and then, of course, at least two worthies from Pakistan. Some anchors are a little more sober than the others in that the screeching is confined to acceptable decibels; others are notorious for speaking for the “nation” and insisting the truth is as it is not, while a decided minority tries to conduct a decent debate, slipping now and again into the “you” versus “us” positions.
In the midst of this, the poor Pakistani guests face the worst of it and make viewers wonder why they agree to be on the programmes over and over again. They are verbally assaulted, wringed, and hung out to dry as pale shadows of their former selves. They are made to accept every wrongdoing of their government, held responsible for every terror attack and asked repeatedly, at times, to apologise for all that has gone wrong in India-Pakistan relations since 1947, terrorism, of course, being at the forefront. Some are reduced to stuttering heaps, others give vent to anger that usually provokes the anchor to cross all levels of journalistic ethics, and still others try to make some sense of the nonsense even as their faces express their helplessness at the futility of it all. Besides, the manner of seating — senior experts placed uncomfortably on a couch in poor light — makes them appear even more like lambs on the slaughtering slab with the knife in the anchor’s hand.
A few weeks ago, when news that an Indian jawan had been beheaded at the Line of Control, broke, television anchors had a field day. Throwing sobriety to the wind, they were all out there advocating war and revenge in different ways. More recently, when a terror attack killedfive paramilitary personnel in Kashmir, the news worthies were back insisting on holding every individual of Pakistan responsible without making the necessary distinction between the government, the army and its agencies, and the people, of whom a large section denounces terrorism, insists on a change in policies and has been struggling for peace and harmony for decades now. There is a strong peace constituency in Pakistan that does not figure on Indian television (probably the reverse is true as well) just as the “peaceniks” of India are rarely brought on television to advocate the need for restraint. In fact, these prime time India-Pakistan news discussions are hinged on guests taking extreme positions, with anchors taking special care to ensure that those advocating peace in the two countries are not brought in to dampen the hate-filled atmosphere.
In fact, the two governments have moved far ahead of their respective television stars, as there are efforts now to continue peace talks regardless of idiot box stridency. After the beheading of the Indian soldier, New Delhi initially tried to maintain restraint but when television theatrics continued, the government decided to fall in line and make anti-peace noises to placate the media. Despite this, however, trade and business is continuing, officials are meeting to iron out vexed issues, and students, academics, journalists and others are crossing the border on a constant basis. In fact, after the beheading that drove the media down the bend, the armies of both countries immediately established contact and used the hotlines to ease the tensions. The ceasefire, significantly, has held since then but no one is reporting this.
It is time then, despite the freedom that the media must have, for news anchors to be made part of a system of checks and balances. This can come through high-level regular briefings where anchors are introduced to the many dimensions of a complex relationship and are made aware of the responsibilities that have to be attached to any reporting on India-Pakistan relations. Reporting cannot be without responsibility, particularly when instead of preaching peace, journalists today believe that advertisements come from waging war.
